Kirimetiya Estate is situated in the Galaha hills, approximately 45 minutes drive from Kandy via Talatuoya.  It consists of approx. 200 acres of Pine forest, and another 150 acres of jungle.  The balance is cultivated in grass, a little vanilla and is utilized for rearing of cattle. 

In the years gone by, it was a conventional tea estate and the old factory still stands together with the old proprietor’s bungalow, both of which are in need of repair.

Pan Nippon has a 50-year lease on this property with about 45 more years to run.  We are looking for a joint venture partner for promotion of tourism including horse riding, trekking, cycling, mountain climbing etc.

The main objective is to construct luxury type “Pine lodges” under BOI approval,  for long lease to prospective users. 

Minimum investment required is US$5M.

With the existing conditions of peace in Sri Lanka, this would be an excellent project in an area which has beautiful views of the surrounding Knuckles Range.
